| Tin Can Bay is a quiet holiday destination for those who love the coast and the natural wonders of the Cooloola National Park. Located half an hours drive east of Gympie, the town is built on a peninsula that extends into Tin Can Inlet, close to the southern tip of World Heritage listed Fraser Island. Marina, houseboat and yacht charter facilities reflect the predominance of water-based activities for visitors wishing to explore the Great Sandy Strait from Inskip Point to Hervey Bay; a beautiful waterway protected by Fraser Island. There is nothing like seeing the sunset from Strait. |

| Rare Indo-Pacific Humpback Dolphins have been interacting with residents and visitors of Tin Can Bay for over 30 years. Visit the public boat ramp where you can feed the rare Dolphins in their natural environment. Dolphins arrive at Norman Point with feeding from 8am. Cost is only $5 per person. The dolphin feeding is regulated to minimise potential risks to the dolphins. Mystique and girlfriend Patch come in daily to observe humans and to be hand fed. Other dolphin visitors include Harmony, daughter of Mystique. | |
